Shurmo Village in Ethiopia is home to over 6,000 people we have grown to know over the last 5 years. We have been monitoring the situation on the ground and it is now clear that we need to urgently build a water reservoir. This will give the people of Shurmo close access to safe, clean and reliable drinking water to curb dangerous water borned diseases (typhoid, cholera) and also give the children a chance at an education (instead of fetching water from miles away). The water reservoir will cost AU$160,000 so we need your help to get it built.
All donations are tax-deductible - please consider donating to this cause.
Help transform a child's education opportunities by contributing to the water project. Instead of carting water miles, a child can head to school instead!
Help the fight against deadly water borne diseases (e.g. typhoid, cholera) that are introduced to the insecure water supply (through animal and human waste).
Help breathe life into a community by contributing to the design, construction and commissioning of the local, secure and safe water reservoir.
