A new exciting phase for our International Programs
Above: Joanne Rowe with Kylie Wingjan

November last year we said goodbye to our much-loved International Programs Manager, who has moved onto the next stage of her career in development. After 10 years with INA in the International Programs department, it was hard to say farewell, however her contribution and dedication to improving the lives of those living in poverty will be long remembered.

Kylie has passed on the mantle onto Joanne Rowe, who has been working closely with Kylie for the last 12 months and already has a strong understanding of our work and relationship with the field.

Please join us in saying goodbye to a dear friend, and congratulating Jo on her new appointment to carry on the exceptional work on the field!

Kylie, not wanting to leave without saying goodbye herself has penned the below letter:

Dear Friends,

After 10 quite incredible years with INA, very sadly, it’s time for me to say goodbye.
When I was appointed as Project Co-ordinator in 2007, the Ghana Trokosi project was our only work funded by the Australian Government and we had a small child sponsorship program providing scholarships to individual children. Today, through the incredible dedication of our supporters and a firm commitment to professional development practice, INA now has 5 government-funded projects and a ChildLink program that is bringing lasting transformation to whole communities.

As INA’s longest serving staff member, I’ve also had the great privilege of building many strong and meaningful relationships with our international partners and have been immensely blessed by visiting and witnessing their incredible impact.

I would like to thank Pri Fernando and the whole INA team for creating a work environment that values people and clearly demonstrates our mandate to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. I am thrilled that I will be leaving the work in excellent hands and congratulate Joanne in her appointment as INA’s new International Programs Manager.

Finally, as I have been a ChildLink supporter even longer than I have been a staff member, I look forward following INA’s growing impact for many years to come!
